You gotta’ love the C7 chord! It’s pretty simple to play and adds a nice flavor to your songs. Just finger the C chord and then add your pinkie on string 3 in the 3rd fret. Now try it in a song by playing The Beatles Love Me Do (Note: C7 is in this song a couple of times, otherwise it’s C, G & D). You’ll be in C7 heaven!

It can be helpful ~ not required, but helpful ~ to have at least a basic understanding of the notes on a guitar, but learning the A, B, C’s (D, E, F & G’s too) can seem a little intimidating.
